Synopsis:

Basics of radio transmission for electromagnetic wave propagation pint of view, power budget, wave propagation in different frequency bands and different media. Antenna theory, principle of duality, reciprocity, complementarity. Impedance, directional and other antenna parameters. Wire antennas. Antenna arrays. Planar and reflector antennas, lenses, special antennas - wide band antennas. Basics of antenna measurement. Antenna in communication channel - criteria for antennas for specified communication services.

Requirements:

6. Geometrical optics methods, planar structures

7. Horn antennas

8. Reflector antennas

9. Multi-reflector antennas

10. Lenses and radomes

11. Wide-band antennas, helix, spirals, log-per antenna

12. Transmission media influence on wave propagation

13. Reflection, diffraction and scattering of electromagnetic wave, link ower budget

14. Wave propagation according to frequency band
