Synopsis:

Information about main principles of modeling of machines and their parts using finite element method

Requirements:

Syllabus of lectures:

Importance of modeling in machine design; fiel of problem specification; main methods for continuum discreditation; main principles of FEM; beam elements described with FEM; mass matrix and stiffness matrix; main 2D and 3D elements; constrains; boundary condition specification and preprocesing; postprocesing and interpretation of results; verification; body systems; sensitivity analysys; parametrical optimalization; topological optimalization.

Syllabus of tutorials:

Beam elements; geometry preparation for FEM model; building of free mesh and mapped mesh; boundary conditions; computing of single body properties; computing of body systém properties; analysis of specific design.
