Principles and mechanisms of corrosion, types of corrosion attacks. Heat-resistant materials, steels resistant against atmospheric corrion. Martensitic, ferritic, austenitic and duplex corrosion-resistant steels, nickel and cobalt alloys, their development and use. Nonmetallic corrosion-resistant materials, corrosion resistance tests. Principles and mechanisms of creep resistance, characteristics of creep-resistant materials. Materials for blades and rotors of steam turbines. Steels for components of turbo generators. Materials for boilers, super heater pipes and steam piping. Materials for components of water turbines. Steels for selected components of nuclear power plants - metallic and ceramic fuels, structural materials for work in the active zone of the reactor, pressure vessel. Primary piping, steam generators, circulating pumps, secondary piping, containers for spent fuel. Metallic and nonmetallic materials for wind power plants.
