Synopsis:

The subject deals with the usage of computer aided techniques in metal working processes.

Requirements:

Finished master graduation from a Technical University.

Syllabus of lectures:

Implementation of computer-aided techniques in metalworking processes. Hardware and software requirements. Algorithm for input of material, geometry, machine tools and production method data entry. CAD/CAM for bulk deformation processes. Numerical simulation of metal flow by FormFem; QForm software in closed-die forging. CAD/CAM for deep drawing. Possibilities of utilization of simulation software in sheet metal forming. Computer aided production planning using an expert system.

Gain basic practical knowledge in computer aided techniques usage in metal forming processes through education.

Study materials:

Prospectus of FormFem, QForm and other computer firms, working study materials presented on faculty website.
