Synopsis:

Definition of condensed matter. Type of solid state matters. Crystalographic structures. Methods for investigation of crystals - rentgenographie, optical and chemical. Fick´s laws. Grid defects in crystals. Types of bonds in condensed matter. Madelung´s constant. Models of bonds, calculating of heat capacity. Band model of condensed matter. Metals, semiconductors and insulators - Kronig-Peney´s model. Electrical and thermal conductivity condensed matter. Semiconductor structures-diode effect. Microelectroncs. Insulators and their optical properties - scintilators. Conductors and supraconductors. Experimental investigations of metal, insulators and semiconductor properties - employing this properties for device and sensors design and technology.
