Synopsis:

Definition and characterization of welding processes. Description of welding equipment, applications according to selected welding process. Oxyfuel gas welding and oxyfuel gas cutting, electric arc, welding sources for arc welding, shielded metal arc welding, submerged arc welding, gas-metal arc welding. Resistance welding. Characterization of brazing and soldering processes. Basics of industrial adhesive bonding. Basics of joint evaluation and quality control (qualification and certification of welding personnel and welding procedure specification). Principles of non-destructive and destructive tests of welded joints.
