- Synopsis:
-
Fundamentals of work in software SOLIDWORKS 2008. It is 2D sketcher, create and edit 3D models, create assemblies, generating 2D drawings, FEM analysis and mechanisms simulation, create sheet metal parts and shape design.
- Requirements:
-
Each student must attendance the exercises and can work in software.
- Syllabus of lectures:

There are no lectures.
- Syllabus of tutorials:
-
Environment and commands, sketch, reference elements, 3D model (pad, pocket, shaft, groove, hole, thread, chamfer, edge fillet, shell, rib, pattern, mirror, Boolean operation, parametric model, properties), assembly (insert component, create assembly, constraints), 2D drawings (view, section view, detail view, broken view, dimensioning), 2D assembly drawings (view, section view, text, piece list, templates), FEM (meshing, end conditions, loading, results), kinematic simulation (insert assembly, kinematic constraints, command for motion), sheet metal (extrusion, bending) and shape design (shape design, join, thickness).
- Study Objective:
-
The main goal of this subject is fundamentals of the work in software SOLIDWORKS. There are modulus for model design, assembly design, drawing generation, FEM analysis, kinematic simulation, sheet metal and shape design.
