Synopsis:

The subject deals with the basic methods of an aerodynamic design of machines, especially turbines and compressors. Both numerical and experimental methods are introduced.

4.Numerical simulation of the flow within the blade cascades.

5.Methods based on a potencial flow approach.

6.The influence of compressibility, viscosity and turbulence.

7.Experimental methods.

8.Design of cascades.

9.Design methods.

10.Optimisation of cascades.

11.Special effects.
