Synopsis:

Manufacturing systems with different levels of automatization, problems of cutting tools in light of automatization, aspects of automatic programming. Philosophy of making-up of partprograms. Fundamentals of construction in light of automatization cutting.

Requirements:

Knowledge of methods of cutting technology.

Syllabus of lectures:

1. CAD/CAM systems in Czech Republic.

2. Design in plain.

3. Design in space.

4. Data transfer in CAD - CAM.

5. Make-up partprograms for turning operation.

6. Make-up partprograms for milling operations in 2.5D.

7. Make-up partprograms for milling operations in 3D.

Syllabus of tutorials:

1. CAD/CAM - Design in plane.

2. CAD/CAM - Design in plane.

3. CAD/CAM - Design in space.

4. CAD/CAM - Design in space.

5. Make-up of partprograms for milling operation.

6. Toolpath optimalization for roughing.

7. Toolpath optimalization for finishing.

8. Verification of CL data.

9. Verification of NC programms.

10. Cutting on CNC controlled milling cutter.

11. Cutting on CNC controlled milling cutter.

12. Work with probe on CNC controlled milling cutter.

13. Confrontation of results of CL data simulation and finished machined surface.

Study Objective:

Acquaint students with function and posibilities of a large CAD/CAM system.
