Styles in integrated circuit design and their comparison, user-programmable circuits (PLDs), simple PLDs (PROM, PAL, GAL), SPLD design methods and systems, complex PLDs, FPGA circuits, symmetrical block architecture, row architecture, hierarchical structure, FPGA design: optimization and mapping, placement and interconnection, design systems, case study - a processor block.
