Systematic view on production machines and systems. Requirements on production machines. Technological characteristics of production machines (PM). Static and dynamic stiffness. Drives of the production machines. Carrying system. Work fixtures. Properties of PM. Placement of the machines on the basement. Machines with hand control and program control - classification, design and calculation of different types and class of machines. Essential features of numerical controled machines. Production systems for cutting and forming - flexible, nonflexible and partly flexible.
