Study Objective:

The main purpose of the subject is to provide students information about basic of Tensor Calculus; Curvilinear coordinates; Covariant Derivative and Absolute derivative; Christoffel Symbols; Divergence, Curl, and another problems, concerning kinematics and dynamics of a Continuous Medium, and to give fundamentals of issues concerning the application of this in different areas of industry, particularly in mechanical engineering. The aim of the study is to provide students with advanced knowledge of the subject, which can be applied in their career. The students should be able to propose the optimal solution of the problems for a given application.
